You may remember the file management procedures from last year, but here are a few tips for making file management easier on your network drive.

• Create a folder called "web" on your i: drive. Always save your work from class in this folder.
• Save frequently while you are working!
• All assignments should have your network login name as part of the file name.

Here is the path for turning in assignments:

• H:\Central Hand-In\BMIT\Nielsen\4th3_4
• H:\ is the SharedFolders network drive.
• Drag all assignments into this folder. Be sure your login name is part of the file name on every assignment.

Assignment: What is good Web design?

Complete the following assignment. It is due TODAY, August 18, 2010.

1. Open a new Word document and save it as "gooddesign_YourLoginName"
2. Type your answer the question: What is good Web design? Consider
   • Style
   • Proper Code
   • Download Times
   • and any other factors you consider important
3. Save and submit the assignment by copying the file into the "Good Design" folder inside our shared folder.
